Nick Phillips Estate Benefit Sale

Welcome all lovers of oddities and curiosities and a special welcome to all the special friends of our dear friend Nick Phillips.

Charles Nicholaus Phillips Obituary: It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our cherished Charles Nicholaus Phillips, who left us on Sunday, January 4, 2026.

Known affectionately as "Nick" to all who knew him, he was a beacon of kindness and warmth. Nick truly loved all people and possessed a rare gift for bringing joy to everyone he met. His presence was a blessing that will be deeply missed by his community and his family.

Nick is deeply mourned and survived by his father, Marty Phillips. Brother, Jeremie Harrison (Erika Harrison). Niece, Madison Livermore (Richie Livermore). Nephew, Caleb Harrison (Karlee Harrison). A fantastic "Gruncle" to Charlie and Callum Livermore. He was Preceded in death by his mother, Pam Jones Phillips.

The Oddities Museum has been tasked with rehoming Nick Phillips's collection.

While rehoming the collection, we, as estate distributors, have an obligation to help the family fund the remaining bills left behind.

We are honored to be trusted with this emotionally taxing task. It is our duty and something dear to our hearts since we loved Nick Phillips greatly and now we have been given the opportunity to honor him in the best way we know how.

Our Plan: As most people know, Nick had a very special, well-curated collection.  He spent much of his free time and passion meeting people in the oddities community, making long lasting friends and collecting from around the world.  You can see the love in his collection and the joy it brought to him.  He cared deeply about the connections these items fostered with the fellow collectors he loved.

Because of this, and because of our mission, we feel it would be a great disservice to just disperse his belongings haphazardly to the public. Instead, we feel it is more appropriate to create a long-lasting tribute.  The Oddities Museum would like to display a large portion of the collection as a part of the permanent collection, much like Nick had curated himself.  We plan to recreate much of the home museum that some of us had the pleasure to visit.

Through this, we feel we best honor Nick, his passion, his relationships and his beautiful collection.  It will be on display for all to see with a plaque of dedication where his friends and family may visit and hopefully relive the special times with a special friend.

Your Support: We need your support to make this happen.  Some selected items will be available for purchase.  We have carefully curated items that were not on display or very simply are not needed for the intended final exhibit space.

Nick Phillips Estate Benefit Sale: We will add items weekly until they have been rehomed.  This is not a traditional auction but a benefit sale.  All items will start at the asking donation price and bidding will continue until the item's end date.

Donations: Donations can always be made without purchasing any of the auction items using the donate button.  We are also taking physical donations for the benefit sale. These physical donations will be identified as "sponsorship recognition," designated in the auction as not being part of Nick's collection and applied to the final goal.  The Oddities Museum will also be making such donations.

Donation Gift: To everyone who donates $20 or more, we will send a memorial gift as a small token of appreciation.

We need your support to make this happen for Nick and his family and to help us keep his legacy alive and honor the person who loved you dearly.

Please share with everyone
